Abstract

Regarding the problem of headaches, many reports in the past emphasized that headaches are psychogenic. It was not until 1942 that people began to mention cervical spine trauma as a possible cause of chronic headaches. This article summarizes the data of more than 6,000 cases of chronic recurring headaches that were observed for 2 to 25 years after treatment. Most of the patients are female, aged from 8 to 70 years old, and the duration of headaches ranges from 1 to 56 years, with an average of 15 years.
