Abstract

Subclavian steal syndrome refers to partial or complete occlusive damage on the subclavian artery or innominate artery, proximal to the origin of the vertebral artery, due to siphon effect (steal blood) Causes retrograde blood flow in the vertebral artery on the affected side and enters the distal segment of the subclavian artery on the affected side, causing ischemic attack of the vertebral-basal artery and ischemic attack of the upper limb on the affected side
