Abstract

Subclavian artery steal syndrome refers to partial or complete occlusive damage in the proximal segment of the subclavian artery or innominate artery, where the vertebral artery begins, due to siphoning (stealing blood) Causes retrograde blood flow in the vertebral artery on the affected side and enters the distal segment of the subclavian artery on the affected side, causing ischemic attack of the vertebral-basal artery and ischemic attack of the upper limb on the affected side
